With smog as heavy as the earth is presumed solid I am in mind of the song SIN CITY, Gram Parsons/Chris Hillman in which we find smog playing the part of the Lord's Burning Rain. In the distance we can hear the wailing lamentation of people caught between a rock and a smog place, a sad and mournful lamentation to be sure.  Not to mention the irritated mucous membranes
